Surveillance is a ScreenDance collaboration with my longtime collaborator and colleague, Jen Guy Metcalf. It integrates my improvisational site-specific research with Jen’s expertise in dance film editing and development. The film’s synopsis is that the camera lens is a surveillance camera that is voyeuristically capturing the movement I am doing when I think no one is watching. It is filmed on Elon’s campus in the tunnel underneath the railroad tracks. It will have an international premiere in the 7th annual international ScreenDance Festival in Stockholm, Sweden this September, where our film is one of six US accepted films of the seventeen in our category.
